Polish video game developer Bloober Team has announced Layers of Fear 3, their next game in the psychological horror franchise. The Krakow-based developer, known for making titles like The Medium, Silent Hill 2 Remake and Cronos: The New Dawn, didn’t specify the platforms, nor gave a release timeline for the new horror project. However, a Layers of Fear 3 teaser trailer was dropped.

The game was announced as part of Layers of Fear’s 10th anniversary showcase. The original Layers of Fear came out in 2016.

During the Layers of Fear 10th anniversary special event, Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno said that Layers of Fear “is still alive, still evolving, and still finding new ways to haunt.”

Layers of Fear 3 is being marketed with the tagline “Some things never leave the wall. They only learn to wait.”

Mateusz Lenart, creative director and lead designer at Bloober Team, said, “Layers of Fear was imagined as a tribute to artists and a thin line between inspiration and obsession. Our goal was to show that by placing the player inside of an artist unraveling mind, we invite empathy rather than judgment, changing horror into a deeply human experience.”

Beyond just announcing a new Layers of Fear game and a teaser trailer, Bloober Team hasn’t given out many details.

Alongside Layers of Fear 3, more Layers of Fear multimedia content is planned. Bloober Team will be releasing a physical edition of the Layers of Fear soundtrack. Also, Layers of Fear-inspired books are in the pipeline. The first Layers of Fear book will be written by Polish author Marta Bijan and is set to launch in late 2026.
